Our story
Our story began in 2009, when founder Akshay Munot took over a small sweet corn kiosk at Parramatta Westfield, operating under his personal ABN. The business grew through customer recommendations, events and the development of its own hand-peeled sweet corn products.
Country Corn Australia Pty Ltd was formed in 2016. In 2018, the company acquired Harvestime together with other registered brands and trademarks, expanding its range beyond corn into frozen produce.
In 2022, Country Corn Australia Pty Ltd acquired Sydney City Organics, which became the distribution operation known as CWFD. Today, Harvestime serves wholesale customers as part of the wider Country Corn Australia business.

The journey
Harvestime is part of a broader Australian food group. Each stage added new products, capabilities and ways to serve customers more reliably.
Founder Akshay Munot took over a small sweet corn kiosk at Parramatta Westfield, operating under his personal ABN and serving hand-peeled kernels in a cup. Word of mouth—not marketing—built the following.
Contract farming was established overseas to produce hand-peeled frozen sweet corn to Country Corn’s exact specifications, with distribution to kiosks and cafes across Sydney.
Microwaveable corn cups for busy families were developed, and the focus shifted from the kiosk to product development and independent retail across Sydney.
The company was formally incorporated, testing its products at the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show and earning strong consumer and industry attention.
After evaluating many food businesses, the group acquired Harvestime and its registered trademarks—the perfect fit for the original vision, expanding well beyond corn into premium frozen produce.
Operations expanded across Harvestime for wholesale supply and Frozberries for retail and home delivery, with each business serving its own customers.
Sydney City Organics was acquired and rebranded as City Wholefoods Distributors (CWFD), strengthening temperature-controlled distribution across greater Sydney and beyond.
Harvestime works alongside CountryCorn, Frozberries, Elgin Organic, Berryfields and City Wholefoods Distributors to support homes and businesses across Australia.

Harvestime is the volume supply division of Country Corn Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 30 610 106 842). The business traces its roots to a sweet corn kiosk established in 2009, with the company formed in 2016. Today, its head office is located at 29 Hope Street, Melrose Park NSW 2114.
